The Espresso Machine

The espresso machine forces steam and water under pressure through ground coffee, resulting in a rich, dark liquid. There are many different sizes, brands and types of espresso machines. You will be taught how to operate the machine during cafe lessons. Did you know that the first machine for making espresso was built and patented in 1884 by Angelo Moriondo of Turin, Italy!

Here are the parts on a typical espresso machine. You will need to remember these. And to check that you do there is a worksheet to fill out and hand in to your teacher.
